Post Traumatic Distress Order is a thing that can be healed by the grace of God. These inner healing prayers bring God to the equation.  When we realize we were never alone it takes the sting away and helps us to forgive our enemies, which is to love.  The power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ can heal any trauma.  It is all about God’s love and mercy and our realizing the same.  When we know that God was loving us during these times, it frees us to forgive and love, so this trauma yields to God’s healing.  As we overcome our trauma, we can help others suffering the same.  We can help others with the healing of trauma memories.

Opening Prayer

Trauma Requires Healing to Know that God Has Always Been With Us.
Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I fear no evil; for you are with me; your rod and your staff.

✠ In the Name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

✠ Amen.

Eternal Father, together with your Son, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit… You are glorious and magnificent, transcending all of creation, time, and space. Through the intercession of Mary, the Mother of Jesus, and St Joseph, guardian of the Holy Family, we ask you to pour out your blessings  to the hour of greatest need as we pray for the healing of memories.

The Lord’s Prayer

Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name; Thy kingdom come Thy will be done On earth as it is in heaven.
✠  Give us this day our daily bread; And forgive us our trespasses As we forgive those who trespass against us; And lead us not into temptation. But deliver us from evil.

Hail Mary

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed are thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
✠ Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners. Now, and at the hour of our death.

Glory Be  (Gloria Patri)

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end.
✠ Amen.

Prayers for Inner Healing: Traumatic Events

“Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I fear no evil; for you are with me; your rod and your staff— they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.” Psalm 23:4-5

Heavenly Father, in the Name of your Son Jesus, through power of the Holy Spirit, pour your grace over my person, history, and memories. Help me to become aware of any wounds to my soul caused by trauma which I failed to cope with,  or have covered up.

Merciful Father, speak to my inner child and Help me recognize that I am your beloved child, in whom you are well pleased… so I will know you have been with me, loved me, carrying me through every trauma.  Release me from any paralysis associated with these events, so I will no longer be controlled by its negative effect, and I may share in your Light, Life and Love.

✠ Amen.
