Inner healing can also be exercised for our family tree. God in his mercy can apply our love and prayers to our loved ones in their hour of greatest need.   It is a great practice to love our family, while we can never agree on everything we can love one another. Prayer for our ancestors is one of our duties.  We want to break any cycles of unrepented sin and turn our families around by the grace of God’s generational promises of healing love.  All of this is only possible in Jesus’ name and by his precious blood.

Opening Prayer

In the Name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. ✠ Amen.
Eternal Father, together with your Son, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit… You are glorious and magnificent, transcending all of creation, time, and space. Through the intercession of Mary, the Mother of Jesus, and St Joseph, guardian of the Holy Family, we ask you to pour out your blessings  to the hour of greatest need as we pray for the healing of memories.

The Lord’s Prayer

Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name; Thy kingdom come Thy will be done On earth as it is in heaven.
✠  Give us this day our daily bread; And forgive us our trespasses As we forgive those who trespass against us; And lead us not into temptation. But deliver us from evil.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed are thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.

Prayers for Inner Healing: Healing of the Family Tree

“Know therefore that the Lord your God is God, the faithful God who maintains covenant loyalty with those who love him and keep his commandments, to a thousand generations.”  ^{Deuteronomy 7:9}  

Heavenly Father, in the Name of your Son Jesus, through the power of the Holy Spirit, pour your grace over my ancestors. We pray that souls in purgatory, may by the merits of Christ’s passion and death, and our reparation,  complete any unfinished business, of accepting Jesus as Lord, and forgiving and loving enemies, so they may enter into the glory of heaven.

Merciful Father, speak to my inner child and Help me recognize that I am your beloved child, in whom you are well pleased… so by the power of Jesus’ death and resurrection, my family tree may be restored to grace.
